Your Applicant Experience Day is the perfect opportunity to get a feel for life at Leeds Trinity University.

You’ll get to meet other new students, explore the facilities where you’ll study, get to know some of your future lecturers, and take part in an interactive subject taster session during your visit.

Digital Media Production - The Get to Know You Show

Step into our TV studio and create a live programme from scratch.

Working in small groups, you'll devise interview questions, then experience the roles that make TV happen: host, guest, camera operator, floor manager, or part of the gallery crew directing the action.

How creative can you be under pressure? There's only one way to find out.

Film - Filmmaking 101

See where award-winning films are made. Discover our Film degree, explore our industry-standard facilities, and get hands-on experience with the equipment that brings stories to life.

You'll tour our filmmaking spaces and handle the same professional kit our students use to create work that launches careers. If you're passionate about cinema and storytelling, this is your chance to see how you could contribute to the exciting world of contemporary film.

Games Design - What Makes a Great Game Unforgettable?

Discover how your favourite games take shape in this two-part immersive experience.

First, you'll dissect games using the same analytical frameworks the professionals use. You’ll explore genre, platform, narrative and UI/UX before applying your insights to a game you know.

Next, the real fun begins: a fast-paced board game challenge where you'll experiment with rules, mechanics, and strategy in small groups. Expect lively gameplay, quick-fire problem-solving, and plenty of opportunities to experiment with tactics as the game evolves.

Whether you’re interested in design, storytelling, or simply love a challenge, this session offers a fun, hands-on taste of what studying at LTU can involve.

Photography - In the Studio: Portraits with Personality

Step into our industry-standard studio for a portrait session that'll show you exactly what makes studying Photography at LTU so special.

You’ll play with lighting, composition, and inventive techniques to create portraits that feel bold and unexpected, while exploring how photography can communicate identity, mood, and character.

With expert guidance throughout, you'll produce work you'll want to share (bring your phone for behind-the-scenes content), and get a real taste of how we teach, create, and think as photographers. It’s time to push boundaries and find your creative voice
